The Dark Picture's first two games; Man of Medan (2019) and Little Hope (2020) have crawled their way to PS5 in the form of free upgrades from their PS4 originals. Unfortunately, this does not apply to Man of Medan if it was obtained as part of the PS Plus monthly games in July 2022 but is otherwise good news. The Dark Pictures Anthology was a big return for Supermassive Games, following in the footsteps from Until Dawn (2015).

Contained in the upgrade are the usual frame rate and graphical upgrades though they may not be particularly noticeable, as well as UI improvements, faster walking speed, and new difficulty options. Man of Medan also contains a new chapter, Flooded, with two different variations dependant on a previous action in the game. Of course, there are new trophy lists for both titles.

The third title in the anthology, The House of Ashes (2021) is already present on the PS5 and these upgrades certainly don't do any harm in wetting the appetite for the upcoming release, The Devil in Me (2022) - due November 18th.
