Where to watch

Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
This is a classic, I showed my S/O this for the first time and even 15 years later (I cannot believe it's been that long) it's still an extremely well made movie! It's aged pretty nicely considering the advancements of CGI since then.

Quit making me feel old.. 🤣 I remember going to the cinema to see this!

I thought it was pretty decent but if you've already played the games, for me it didn't really add anything new.. I wanted to love it, but was left feeling that it was pretty average.

I'm not even sure it's still in my DVD collection anymore.. I may have to pick it up again for another watch.

This was both mine & my sisters introduction to the SH franchise when it came out, she never ended up getting into the games but would enjoy watching me play them when I got them after seeing the movie.

Honestly it works as both a pretty good horror movie, and a pretty good video game adaption. Of course it's not a 1:1 adaption but I don't think any of the changes from the first game, which it's adapting, hurt it in any way.

The one thing I massively dislike about the film is that it pretty much every game that came out following it felt, at least to me, like the developers had only really watched the movie.

I absolutely love this movie, I think it is very well written and is absolutely timeless. As stated above, it still seems modern and well written 15 years later.

I think I might watch it again tonight 🙃
