I decided to spend a insignificant amount of money on a faulty Gameboy Pocket which had a screen which would not display anything. It had been modified (but I didn’t know to what extent). So I figured I could open it up, see what was wrong and easily fix it with no parts required. … Not everything goes that way unfortunately. I got it, and opened the thing up. Wow. It had jump wires going here, there and everywhere all across the board. It had an early bivert mod applied to it, as well as...
I couldn't have said it better, Rain.. 🙂 Hi everyone. My mental health unfortunately took a bit of a nosedive last month, and I effectively cut myself off from the Internet whilst trying to get better. It's unfortunately been an on/off battle since being diagnosed with depression in 2017, but I'm pleased to report that I'm recovering again and taking each day as it comes. I don't really want to go in too much detail about it, but I also wanted people to know that both Umbrella Online and...
As a kid I always wanted to take new stuff apart to see what made it tick, and to see on the off (VERY off) chance that I could alter it to make it better. I've recently decided to play through all of the games in the series (bar a few...) and a few fan projects such as the amazing AM2R and Prime2D while I'm awaiting the release of Metroid Dread. It's honestly the most fun I've had for a really long time playing all of these games. So the below will just be some super quick writeups of my experiences and what tools I used to play the games - Let's face it; all of these games are easy to emulate... and the fact that...
A large part of the latest maintenance phase has been to lose some bloat, without losing functionality. Features such as Reviews are useful in concept, but became quickly apparent that they were quite long-winded and not so straightforward to use. Content was having to be duplicated to get things running something like I'd expect, which in the scheme of things seemed a bit pointless as the time could be better spent elsewhere.. I've also been sat on a license for a Blogs system, but held off...
